Exceptional performance is not a one time event.  It is something to work on and add to every day.  Perhaps that sounds exhausting?  Too much work?

It’s really very easy.  You’re performing anyway, so why not make it exceptional?  Here’s the challenge, pick one of the following each week to be exceptional.  Don’t forget to let your boss know.

Time is Precious

When I’m engaged in something I love to do or I’m completely focused on a task at hand, time seems to slip away at the speed of sound.  As I grow older, days, weeks and months seem to go very fast.

Whenever I’m waiting for something to happen, a call back from a potential client, the bus to take me home or, when I was little, Santa to come – time seems to stand still.

Hypnosis is often defined as a “bypass of the critical faculties of the conscious mind.”  This definition refers to our nature to think, feel, or respond to stimulus as an automatic response. 

Consider the things you do throughout the day that don’t require conscious thought.  Tasks such as walking, driving, or even tying your shoes have become activities which don’t require having to think about them.  Your mind and body generalized the process, and it became automatic behavior within the subconscious mind.
